Lemche graduated from Mayfield Secondary School in Caledon, Ontario, a regional art school he chose to attend because of his artistic friends. He personally aspired to become a medical doctor, and in order to save for his education, responded to an ad from a talent agency. This random job search landed him several roles in film and television and Lemche discovered a passion for acting.
Lemche played recurring characters on the television series La Femme Nikita, My Guide to Becoming a Rock Star, Joan of Arcadia and Ghost Whisperer.
Film credits include eXistenZ, A Simple Curve, Final Destination 3 and State's Evidence.
